  • I first came to Rory after struggling with ARFID for as long as I can remember.

    Before we even booked a session, I could tell he understood, cared, and was ready to help.

    In just our first hour session alone he managed to unpack years of troubled food-related behaviour.

    I must admit I’ve always been sceptical of any sort of therapy. I’m very logical and analytical, and never believed I could have thoughts or feelings that I wasn’t fully aware of.

    It took maybe 5 minutes for Rory to prove that wrong, bring these thoughts and feelings up and out, and help me confront and deal with them in a safe environment.

    Valuable sessions aside, Rory is a genius at keeping you accountable and on track, without you ever feeling pressure.

    I still don’t know quite how he does it! Whilst I’m still quite early on in my journey to having a normal relationship with food, the immediate effect Rory had on me was noticeable not just by me but by all around me, and as I continue to make progress, I can clearly see the path to sorting it out once and for all.

    I owe all of that to Rory. So even if you’re the most sceptical sceptic like I was, I’d highly recommend you chat to Rory sooner rather than later!

  • Just wanted to say man I’m real glad I reached out to you and started your program.

    Since then I have well and truly turned my life around and have had a much better relationship with not only myself but with others as well, my nutrition and my sleep have been absolutely brilliant as well as my gym training and weight loss.

    Also the stress relief techniques and journaling has been a huge game changer for me and having a better routine all round has just simplified day to day life when the smallest tasks just seemed pointless and non beneficial.

    Honestly can’t thank you enough for your guidance and teachings, my only regret is that I didn’t reach out sooner. Should be real proud of yourself for what you do and all the help you give to others.

  • “At the age of 47 years old, my entire life was like a splatter painting of chaos, jumping from one thing to another and struggling with focus; eating problems and emotional struggles. Rory was able to establish ‘Childhood Emotional Trauma' pretty quickly and this has helped me establish healthy-boundaries to reduce my mental-health exhaustion around people-pleasing and neglect to my own self. 

    Rory has supported me to establish a healthier relationship with family boundaries alongside my own wellbeing, particularly around keeping up with the pressures of healthy eating, macros and calorie counting. (I don’t do that anymore). Thank you for being such a source of motivation for me.”

    I graduated last month and have a job as a paramedic starting in February where I will be relocating to York.

    As a little graduating present to myself, I am spending 3 months solo backpacking around the east coast of Australia so currently writing this on the beach in the Gold Coast.

    Would never have been able to travel and do any of this without you helping me change my mindset!

  • “After battling with an eating disorder for several years, I felt hopeless. I’d seen a number of counsellors and therapists, but nothing had helped.     At the start of my journey I felt that I would forever be trapped in an unhealthy routine of over exercising and allowing myself to be controlled by food rules which didn’t serve me emotionally or physically. 

    With Rory’s help I was able to break down and eliminate these rules that had played heavy on my mind for so long. 

    My periods returned within roughly 6 months after nothing for 6 years which has made me feel incredibly proud of myself. I finally feel like a women again... I feel empowered and strong within the knowledge that I was able to relax my body enough so that it felt safe again. I swiftly realised that I was treating my body in an unforgivable way. 

    I have regained that so important mind-body connection, I am in tune and finally listening to what my body truly needs and it feels fantastic.

  • “For 15 years I suffered in silence with my food issues, body issues and general fear around everything food and body related and never in my wildest dreams did I think I could have changed so much of that 15 year damage in 4 weeks but some how with Rory’s support and guidance I have. 

    He has challenged my thoughts, made me uncomfortable and pushed me to do things that would ordinarily spiral me into a bad place. However the difference is he has supported me throughout every step and been there to nudge me further in the right direction when all I wanted to do is retract to the behaviours I have come to know so well. 

    I did things I never thought I would do... scales in the bin, deleting my fitness pal and not tracking food, unfollowing so many of the social media “fitness” influencers that are no good for anyone’s mental health and eat things I had generally come to fear would make me fat.

    I’m confident to say that 4 weeks later I’m a different person, I don’t fear food, I don’t limit social engagements because they involve food, i don’t punish myself for any reason to do with food or missing exercise, I don’t talk to myself filled with hate and disgust at how I look, I listen to my body and I generally am a more content and happy person than I was when I started.”
